Stephen W. Nicholas is President of Air Industries, Inc. an Independent Manufacturer’s Representative with over 22 years of field experience. A member of ASHRAE since 1989 advanced to Grade of Member 2004.

A Veteran of the U.S. Army 1969-1970 and educated at Bryant & Stratton Business School, Boston, 1971-1972.

Steve is the President of the National Air Filtration Association 2006-2007and Vice President AFE Chapter 33-Boston. He serves on ASHRAE SPC 180P Committee “Standard Practice for Inspection and Maintenance of Commercial-Building HVAC Systems”; ASHRAE GPC 26 Committee “Guideline for Field Testing of Filtration Devices and Systems for Removal Efficiency In-Situ by Particle Size and Resistance to Airflow”; ISO TC 142 “Cleaning Equipment for Air and Other Gases”; and The Boston Society of Architects Indoor Air Quality Committee. Steve is also a certified filter technician, (NCT) and certified air filtration specialist, (CAFS) and is certified for testing adjusting and balancing (TAB) Commercial HVAC systems.
