How to Introduction on Retro-Commissioning
Note: This meeting is in addition to the February 9th evening program.
This presentation defines retro-commissioning (RCx), and how if differs from commissioning (Cx), and re-commissioning (Re- Cx). The steps needed to conduct RCx are discussed and explained also with the expected deliverables. The reasons to RCx a building are discussed and the timing to RCx. The expected cost and savings of conducting RCx are also discussed. The course describes the four phases of this RCx process, and the 12 tasks to develop an RCx Plan. In addition, Bill will cover how RCx supports LEED and explain why O&M manuals are organized by systems. Bill will also define the QC process and sampling rates as well as go over the RCx process tools. Finally, Bill will explain the difference among the Functional, Operational, and Static check sheets.
