Gillette Stadium September 30, 2009

Our September 30th tour of Gillette Stadium went over extremely well. It was a joint meeting with the Boston and Worcester Chapters of AFE and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Kevin Slein, Director of Operations at Gillette, was kind enough to give members a brief overview of the Stadium's systems, capacities, and design parameters, which was very interesting. We then had the opportunity to walk through the tunnels of the stadium to see the boiler plant and pumps, a few air handling units, the outdoor air-cooled chiller plant and emergency generator.

The topper was the ability to walk along the outside track of the field itself, giving everyone a fantastic view of the field and stadium. The tour ended in the Lower Level of CBS Scene where everyone socialized and enjoyed heavy appetizers for a meal and with over 150 people in attendance it also made a great networking opportunity for everyone as well.
