Region I CRC 2016 Recap


The 2016 Region I Chapter Regional Conference (CRC) was hosted by the Rochester Chapter in Rochester, NY. The 3-day conference entailed various business meetings, technical sessions, and committee workshops. The tour of the Genesee Brew House during the time between conferences was enjoyed by a lucky few. Another highlight of the CRC was the Award Luncheon. The Regional Vice Chairs (RVC’s) recognized the service and dedication of excellence shown by officers, and committee chairs of each chapter.

  • The Boston Chapter received the Research Promotion Endowment Chevron, Full Circle Chevron, and Silver Treasury Ribbon
  • Deanna Adkison received the Black Ink Award
  • Dan Carington received the Thomas S. Brown Membership Award Honorable Mention
  • Dan Diorio received the Research Promotion High Five Award
  • Mike Gilroy received the Chapter Technology Transfer Chapter Programs Star Award Honorable Mention and Chapter Technology Transfer Award of Excellence Honorable Mention
  • Steve Rosen received the Websitation of Excellence Award
  • Teri Shannon received the Chapter Service Award
  • Stacie Suh received the Golden Gavel Award
  • Presidential award of excellence- star award special citation

Region I CRC 2015 Recap


The Region I CRC was held from Thursday, August 20 to Saturday, August 22 in Syracuse, NY this year and was hosted by the Central New York Chapter.

Throughout the event, the main theme was making connections. The event was mainly located at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in downtown Syracuse, NY along with many off-site activities. A Thursday night welcome dinner was held at Dinosaur Bar-B-Que. Friday night included a clam bake at Hinerwadel’s and many fun lawn games such as horseshoes, Frisbee, cornhole, and giant jenga. Our very own Boston chapter broke the restaurant’s record for tallest game!

At the presidential awards ceremony, many awards were received by the Boston chapter.
