April 2022
Hi Everyone,
I wanted to thank everyone who attended our second in-person meeting of the year on February 15th! The February meeting was on The HVAC System’s Role in Improving Indoor Air Quality in Buildings of All Types with a tech session on the Various Tools Used in the Application of Ionization Devices. I also want to thank our speakers Lawrence Bettello and David Schurk for taking the time to come speak with us. If you want to learn more about them, please read the previous newsletter for a quick bio.
We had a joint meeting with AEE on March 2nd and I wanted to thank all the AEE members for setting up this year’s joint meeting. The meeting had four speakers who went into detail about Net Zero Energy, BERDO 2.0, and VRF Heat Pumps. I want to thank all of the speakers for taking the time to present this to us! If you want to more about them, their bios are located in the previous newsletter for your viewing.
We have our upcoming meeting on April 12th. This meeting will be located at the Embassy Suites in Waltham. The main presentation will be on HVAC Distributed Pumping and will be given by Chris Ireland. More information is available in this newsletter and on our chapter website. We are hoping to get PDH credit approved for this meeting.
Reminder that our golf outing is on May 16th this year so make sure you save the date and get your practice swings in as the weather gets better!
We are quickly approaching the end of the ASHRAE year in June and I want to thank everyone that has stuck with us through these hard and uncertain times. We look forward to seeing you in the fall next year including our product show!
If you are interested in getting involved or volunteering with the Boston chapter, please get in touch with me and we will have you join our planning meeting to see how you can get involved. We are always looking for volunteers to help out with multiple committees available to help out with! We have openings in our Newsletter and Website teams to fill. Please email me at c001@ashrae.net or contact any of the volunteers with questions, concerns, or suggestions to help improve our chapter.
Thank you all,
William Cunningham
ASHRAE Boston Chapter President
