REFRIGERATION

As you probably heard, R-134A is being phased out due to its global warming potential (GWP). Unlike the CFC and HCFC phaseouts,

R- 134A refrigerant production will not be restricted but the equipment that uses it will be. The equipment phaseout will be as follows:

à       2021- Automobiles for this model year (cars produced in 2020)

à       1/1/2021- Domestic refrigerators and freezers.

à       1/1/2024 Centrifugal and positive  displacement  equipment.
